PTO Board Member Descriptions

President

The President set the agenda of all meetings and presides over all Rattlesnake Ridge PTO meetings and functions. Works with the Principal and is a liaison between teachers, parents, and community. May co-sign approval on all financial matters. Guides all outside correspondence, either verbal or written, to the proper person. 

Vice President

The Vice President assumes the President's responsibilities in the absence of the President. The Vice President will be responsible for enforcing Bylaws, may co-sign approval on all financial matters, is responsible for the PTO credit card and facilitates the mini grant process. 

Secretary

The Secretary is responsible for taking minutes of meetings and providing them to all members in a timely fashion. Sends out all PTO correspondence and meeting reminders. Is in charge of keeping the time at meetings if necessary. 

Treasurer

The Treasurer records and pays all expenditures approved by the PTO, maintains the PTO's financial records, manages the PTO bank account(s), submits a monthly financial report at Board Meetings, and oversees the money collection and deposits of activities. The Treasurer shall be the primary signor on all checks issued by the PTO. There shall be two alternate signors in the event the Treasurer is not available to sign approved checks.
